Browsers and API Clients
Many desktop clients work with Rockxy quickly, but not all of them use the same proxy or certificate-trust behavior.Individual client guides
Rockxy currently ships separate target pages for:Start with this rule of thumb
- If the app follows the macOS system proxy and trust store, setup is usually simple.
- If it keeps its own proxy settings or certificate path, you need app-specific setup.
Firefox
Firefox is the most common example of a browser that needs extra care. Check:- proxy settings inside Firefox,
- browser-specific certificate behavior,
- and whether you restarted Firefox after trust changes.
Postman and Insomnia
These tools are good fits for Rockxy because they already revolve around explicit request sending. Verify:- the proxy host and port match Rockxy,
- the certificate trust path is complete,
- and you are testing with one obvious HTTPS request first.
Paw
Paw often fits best when the macOS system path is clean and the local certificate is already trusted.Recommended workflow
- Use Developer Setup Hub for the target client.
- Apply the proxy and trust steps exactly.
- Send one HTTPS request you can identify easily.
- Confirm the request appears in Rockxy with readable headers and body.
